The first year I lived here, I would take Lake Shore Drive south from Fullerton to the Museum of Science and Industry, turn around, drive all the way up to Hollywood, and then back to my Fullerton starting point. I would do this probably once every two or three weeks. Driving Lake Shore Drive in the summer is right out of a racing game.
A couple of years ago, I had the idea to move back down south where daffodils grow in February and eighteen-year-old girls are called "ma'am" and think nothing of it. But Chicago has been good to me. And now it seems that this town is seeing a new renaissance -- like nothing since the Columbian Exposition. And I want to stay. At least until winter.
